What We Do – Canon Paterson Arts and Crafts Co-operative

At Canon Paterson Arts and Crafts, we are a pioneering community-based co-operative established in 1975 to preserve and promote cultural art in Zimbabwe. Rooted in the vision of the late Father Canon Peterson, we bring together talented artists to collaborate, learn, and grow collectively. We specialize in the production and marketing of handcrafted art pieces using raw stones and other local materials. Our members exhibit their work locally, regionally, and internationally — with showcases at prestigious venues such as the National Gallery of Zimbabwe and exhibitions in South Africa, Germany, Britain, and the USA. We are committed to producing high-quality, authentic Zimbabwean art while mentoring and empowering the next generation of artists. With over 50 active members, we continue to inspire through creativity, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage.
